Founded in 1987 in response to the AIDS epidemic in San Francisco, Pets Are Wonderful Support has grown dramatically over the past quarter century and now serves more than 800 clients and their 1,000+ companion animals each year with critical safety-net services including a pet food and supply bank, supplemental and emergency veterinary care, foster care, re-homing, in-home cat care and dog walking.
On Thursday, November 8, 2012, at the historic San Francisco War Memorial & Performing Arts Center, PAWS will celebrate 25 years of providing programs and services that keep low-income seniors and disabled people together with their pets despite the financial and physical challenges they face.
Our 25th Anniversary Celebration will include:
- a performance by jazz and cabaret artist Paula West
- a silent auction of original celebrity-decorated pet items
- delicious hors d’oeuvres and desserts
- fine wine and champagne
- a gallery of photography showcasing the beauty of the human-animal bond
